2017 (Redshirt-Junior): Sandoval red-shirted his indoor and outdoor seasons.
2016 (Sophomore): Sandoval anchored the men's 4x400 relay squad to fourth place at the indoor conference championships. He kicked off outdoor season at the Islander Collegiate Open where he ran a 49.34 to finish fourth in the 400m. Sandoval helped the team place seventh in the 4x4 at the outdoor conference championships.
2015 (Freshman): Sandoval ran the 200 and 400 meters while being an integral member of the 4x400-meter relay team. He broke 49 seconds in the 400 meters and ran a time of 21.76 in the 200 meters outdoors. The 4x400 relay team ran the second fastest time in school history at the Kansas Relays finishing in 3:13.33.
High School: Sandoval was a member of the football, baseball and track teams at Crane High School. He was a three-time first team all-district wide receiver in football. He was the district champion in the 200 meters and high jump as a sophomore. He was the district and regional champion in the 200 meters as a junior. As a senior, he was the 200 and 400-meter champion in the district and area. He was the regional champion State champion in the 200 meters as a senior. He was a two-time academic all-district selection in both football and track. He had personal records of 21.49 in the 200 and 48.61 in the 400 for Crane.
Personal: Sandoval is the son of Veronica Carrillo and is studying computer information systems. He was born on October 4, 1994.
