2017: Rodriguez showed consistent improvement in the mile indoors and capped off her season at the conference championships with a fifth place finish in the event (5:00.35). She also scored points for the women's team in the 800 meters as she crossed the line in 2:14.98 to finish sixth. Rodriguez recorded a collegiate best time in the 1500 at the Texas Invitational (4:34.70). She ran a personal best of 2:13.29 in the 800 meters at the J Fred Duckett Twilight meet the following week. Rodriguez finished up the season in good fashion with a fourth place finish in the 1500 at the conference championships. Â
2015-2016: Rodriguez joined the Cardinal squad and kicked off her season at the UIW vs. Texas State Cross Country meet.She finished third in the 800 meters and seventh in the mile indoors at the J.D. Martin Invitational. Rodriguez helped the women's Distance Medley Relay to a fifth place finish at the Southland conference championships. During the outdoor season she recorded her best time in the 1500 (4:37.00) at the J Fred Duckett-Rice Twilight meet to finish second. She ran a 2:14.09 in the preliminary round of the 800 meters at the outdoor conference championships to qualify for finals. Rodriguez went on to finish eighth amongst southland competitors.Â
Previous: Rodriguez was on the track and cross country teams at Texas State for one year. She earned All-Sun Belt Conference honors in the indoor distance medley relay in 2014 for a squad that were conference runner-ups. She finished seventh in the conference in the indoor 800 meters with a time of 2:16.
High School: Rodriguez was on the track and cross country teams at Rivera High School. She was a State 5A quailifier in 2013 in the 800 meters. She had a personal best time of 2:14.
Personal:Â Rodriguez is studying vision science and biology.
