2014-15 (Freshman):  Chechelnytskyi joined the program at the beginning of the second semester and immediately became the top breaststroker on the team.  He won the 100 and 200 breaststroke against Southwestern University in his first career meet.  He earned All-CCSA honors in the 100 breast and 400 medley relay.  He finished as the runner-up in the conference in the 100 breast and the 400 medley relay.  He immediately moved into the top 10 in school history in each breaststroke events.  He was named to the CCSA All-Academic Team.

Previous:  Chechelnytskyi attended Tarasa Shevchenko National University and swam for coach Philatov Yuri Petrovich.  He was a winner at the Ukraine Youth Championships in 2012 and at the 2013 Ukrainian University Championships.  He was the Ukraine champion in the breaststroke from 2010-12.

Personal:  Chechelnytskyi is the son of Andrey and Evgenia Chechelnytskyi and is studying international affairs.  He has a sister, Andrhelika.  He was born on July 15, 1995.
