Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll

2014-15 (Junior):  Brown was the second most productive player in the Cardinals lineup.  He was featured at #3 singles for the majority of the season, but also played some at #4 singles.  He was 13-19 overall in singles play, including a 5-5 mark in tournament action.  In doubles, he teamed with Joey Vatanadilok going 5-3 at the #2 position.  Overall, they were 8-11 together.  After winning the first three 3-set matches of the season, he was just 1-7 the rest of the season.  He ended the season needing 13 more singles victories to set the UIW career record for wins.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2013-14 (Sophomore):  Brown was a starter for UIW in his second year playing at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles for the majority of the season.  He went 7-5 in singles during tournament play in the Fall.  During the dual meet season he won seven consecutive singles matches at one point and finished the year with a 21-12 mark.  He went 3-3 in Southland Conference play with a pair of three-set losses.  In doubles, he teamed with Jair Assuncao for most of the year.  They reeled off six consecutive wins at one point.  Brown went 12-13 for the season and had seven matches go to a tie-break.  He was named to the SLC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2012-13 (Freshman):  Brown posted an excellent record of 12-9 in singles and 10-8 in doubles as a true freshman. He was dubbed one of the Lone Star Conference co-Freshmen of the year and was also named Honorable Mention All-LSC.  He went 8-4 with Luke Trautmann in doubles play.  He had a winning singles record despite a 3-3 mark in three-set matches.  He came back from a set deficit to win matches against #21 Drury and St. Edward's.

High School:  Brown helped lead New Braunfels High School to four straight State Championships.  He earned first team all-district and All-State honors during his career.

Personal:  Brown is the son of Timmy and Lisa Brown and is studying finance.  He has three brothers; Tyler, Tanner and Turner.  Tyler, Tanner and his father all played tennis in college.  He was born on April 7, 1994.
