2014 (Junior):  Jewell was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.  She had an outstanding outdoor season.  She won the 1500 meters at the UTSA Invitational with a time of 4:44.14 and then surpassed that mark with a time of 4:42.23 in the prelims at the Southland Conference meet.  She finished fourth in the SLC in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a school-record time of 11:01.91.  She did not finish worse than fourth place in any steeplechase event during the season.

2013 (Sophomore):  Jewell ran the opening leg on the school-record setting distance medley relay team at the Lone Star Conference Indoor championships.  The squad finished third in a time of 12:35.59.  She earned sixth place in the mile at the same meet with a time of 5:24.79.  She holds top five times all-time in three different indoor events.  At the outdoor LSC championships she finished third in the 3000-meter steeplechase and seventh in the 5000 meters.  Earlier in the season she set the school record inthe steeplechase with a time of 11:09.15 at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight.  She was second in the 1500 meters at the IBC Bank Cactus Cup with a time of 4:51.89, third best in school history.

2012 (Freshman):  Jewell was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.  She nabbed a pair of second place finishes at the LSC Indoor Invitational in the 3000 meters and distance medley relay.  In her first outdoor meet of the season, she was on the winning DMR at the UIW Invitational.  She finished second in the steeplechase at the Rice Twilight in a school record time of 11:22.47.  At the LSC Outdoor Championships she was fifth in the steeplechase.

High School:  Jewell was a two-time regional qualifier in cross country at Taft High School.  She finished in second place in the district in the two-mile.  She also competed in basketball and volleyball.

Personal:  Jewell is the daughter of Brent and Vera Deckard and is studying English.  She has four siblings; Tanja, Sascha, Ethan and Tommi.  She was born on March 17, 1993.
