University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2015 (Junior):  Bermea played in 13 games last season with a total of 480 minutes for the season. She started in seven of those games, including a 1-0 win against South Carolina State. In that game, Bermea came up with the assist for the game winning goal that gave the Cardinals the UTRGV tournament win.

2014 (Sophomore):  Bermea saw action in the first two games of the year.  She played 29 minutes and fired a shot at Omaha.  She was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2013 (Freshman):  Bermea appeared in eight games as a true freshman for the Cardinals.  She played a season high 36 minutes and recorded an assist in a 6-1 win over UT-Permian Basin.  She had a shot attempt in five games and in every game that she played more than 10 minutes.

High School:  Bermea was on the soccer team at Odessa High School.  She led her team to back-to-back appearances in the Area round of the playoffs for the first time in the program's history.  As a freshman, she was named second team all-district and the district Newcomer of the Year.  During her sophomore and junior seasons she was the team MVP earning first team all-district status as a sophomore and second team honors as a junior.  She struggled with injuries as a senior, but still managed to earn second team all-district honors.  She was a member of the National Honor Society and was the Prom Queen.

Personal:  Bermea is the daughter of Victoria Bermea and is studying art and business management.  She has a sister, Erica and a brother, Randy.  She was born on October 4, 1994.  She is a member of the UIW Student-Athlete Advisory Council and ALPHA.  She is a member of the UIW chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and is part of Sigma Pi leadership.
