2012 (Junior):  Ferona went from a little used substitute as a sophomore and junior to a bona fide star on defense.  He was a Lone Star Conference and Daktronics South Central Region Second Team pick after scoring six goals, including five game-winners from his back line position.  He started all 20 games and finished second on the team in minutes played.  He scored game winning goals in back-to-back games on two occasions during the year.  The first two came at Southern Nazarene and at Oklahoma Christian.  The second occasion came in a 1-0 home win over Northeastern State and a home win over Southern Nazarene.  His final game-winning goal came at #19 Colorado Mines in the first round of the NCAA DII Playoffs.  The majority of his goals came off corner kick situations.  He played a key role on a team that finished the year with nine shutouts, including five in a six-game span.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2011 (Sophomore):  Ferona made five appearances on the season and received at start against West Texas A&M.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2010 (Freshman):  Ferona only appeared in one game before Oct. 22, but then started the final five games of the season.  He picked up an assist in a 3-0 win at St. Mary's.  He was whistled for a yellow card against Eastern New Mexico.  The team only allowed three goals in his five games as a starter on defense.

High School:  Ferona played soccer, basketball and baseball at El Segundo High School.  He earned Second Team All-Area honors as a junior and senior.  He was a three-time First Team All-Pioneer Conference honors.  He was also the team's Most Valuable Player each of his final three years. 

Personal:  Ferona is the son of Mark and Tammy Luther and is studying rehabilitative science.  He has a sister, Cassidy.  He was born on June 19, 1991.
