University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2012-13 (Freshman):  Silva joined the team at Christmas break and had a fantastic season earning CSCAA All-America honors in the 100 freestyle, 200 butterfly, 200 individual medley, 400 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay.  He was also an Honorable Mention All-American in the 400 individual medley.  He was named the RMAC Swimmer of the Week once during the season.  He won the 50 freestyle, 200 butterfly and 400 individual medley at the UIW January Meet.  He won the 200 individual medley at both the UIW Christman Invite and the Texas A&M Invite.  He set school records in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 butterfly, 200 individual medley, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay.  He was the national runner-up in both the 200 butterfly and 200 IM.

High School:  Silva graduated from Colegio Do Carmo in Brazil in 2008.

Personal:  Full name is Evandro Vinicius Dos Santos Silva.  He is the son of Ney Ferreira Da Silva and Iraci Dos Santos Silva and is studying engineering management.  He has a sister, Gabrielia.  He was born on October 7, 1991.
