2012-13 (Junior): Betancourt played at #5 or #6 singles for the majority of the season for the Cardin als.  She teamed with Taryn Strahl to form the most successful doubles team for UIW going 13-6 for the season.  She was a big reason why the team finished the year ranked #30 in the nation and #7 in the region.  In the Lone Star Conference Tournament she picked up two points in the team's win over #18 Cameron with a 6-0, 6-0 win at #6 singles and then an 8-5 win at #3 doubles.

Previous:  Betancourt played two seasons at Laredo Community College.

High School:  Betancourt attended La Salle Guaparo in Valencia, Venezuela.

Personal:  Betancourt is the daughter of Alfredo Betancourt and Nery Hurtado and is studying international business.  She has a sister, Jessica.  She was born on August 30, 1991 in the Los Angeles.
