Biography

2012 (Junior):  Padilla earned Honorable Mention All-Lone Star Conference honors after hitting .298 with four doubles and four home runs.  She went 8-for-11 with two runs and a home run in a three-game series at Midwestern State.  She went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI's at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Apr. 10.  She started 45 games during the year.

2011 (Sophomore):  Padilla started all but one game for the Cardinals and earned Honorable Mention All-Lone Star Conference South Division honors.  She hit .300 with 12 doubles, six home runs and 25 RBI's.  She started the season on a tear and was hitting .458 after eight games.  Her best game of the season came at Abilene Christian on Mar. 26 when she went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two home runs, three runs and four RBI's.  She was named the LSC South Hitter of the Week on April 12 after going 4-for-7 with two home runs and three RBI's against Tarleton State in a three-game series.  She drove in four runs at Eastern New Mexico on Apr. 22 and went 3-for-3 with two double against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Apr. 29.

2010 (Freshman):  Padilla earned Second Team All-Heartland Conference and HC All-Tournament Team honors at shortstop.  She hit .345 with 14 doubles and seven home runs to give her a .615 slugging percentage.  She drove in 39 runs throughout the season.  She went 3-for-3 against Texas Woman's in her first game on Feb. 5.  Her first career home run came on Feb. 7 against Angelo State.  She cracked a pair of home run in the first game of a doubleheader at Tarleton State on Feb. 25.  She went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI's against Tarleton State and Newman within three days of each other in early March.  She was 7-of-11 with three doubles, a home run and seven RBI's in a three-game series with Newman.  She had a 2-for-4 performance that included a double, two runs and four RBI's against Midwestern State on Apr. 1.  She was a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBI's against Texas A&M-International on Apr. 18.  She was 5-for-10 with two doubles and three RBI's during the conference tournament.

High School:  Padilla played softball at Marshall High School.  She was a four-time first team all-district selection.  She led the team in batting average in each of her last three seasons.  She led the team to four playoff appearances.

Personal:  Padilla is the daughter of Jesse and Rosemary Padilla and is studying kinesiology.  She has two sisters, Monica and Megan.  She was born on February 13, 1990.
