Nascimento was named the RMAC Preseason Swimmer of the Year in 2012-13. She owns school records in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard freestyle relay and 800-yard freestyle relay. In addition, she set the NCAA Division II national record on December 17, 2012 in the 100 freestyle (49.24).
2011-12 (Junior): Nascimento earned a total of three All-America and three Honorable Mention All-America awards. She was the national runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 49.76. She was an All-American in the 50-yard freestyle, 100 freestyle and 200-yard medley relay. Her honorable mention honors came in the 400-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard freestyle relay. She won the RMAC titles and set meet records in both the 50 freestyle (23.11) and 100 freestyle (50.01). She earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay. She was the RMAC Preseason Swimmer of the Year. She won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle at three different regular season meets.
2010-11 (Sophomore): Nascimento was the NCAA Division II National Champion in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.37. She was the national runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle (23.10). She compiled three All-America (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 800-yard freestyle relay) and three Honorable Mention All-America (200-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard freestyle relay) citations. She won the 50 and 100 freestyle events at the RMAC Championships and set meet records in both. She was also on the conference winning 400 freestyle and 400 medley relay teams. She nabbed RMAC Second Team honors in the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay and Third Team honors in the 200-yard freestyle.
2009-10 (Freshman): Nascimento was the RMAC Swimmer of the Meet after winning the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle in meet record times. She also was on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard medley relay teams that all set meet records. In addition, she took third place in the 100-yard breaststroke. At the national meet she earned All-America honors in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 200 medley relay while finishing as the national runner-up in the 100 freestyle. She took home Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 400 freestyle relay, 800 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay.
High School: Nascimento attended Salesianos High School in Brazil where she swam and was on the soccer and volleyball teams.
Personal: Nascimento is the daughter of Marcelo and Marcia Nascimento and is studying nutrition. She has a brother, Matheus. She was born on July 7, 1987.
