Biography

2012-13 (Junior):  Cooke was a CSCAA All-American in the 200 medley relay and an Honorable Mention All-American in the 400 medley relay.  She was a CSCAA Scholar All-American, Capital One Academic All-District VI First Teamer and a member of the RMAC All-Academic First Team.  In addition to the two relays, she swam both the 100 and 200 backstroke races at the national meet.  She swam the leadoff leg on both the 200 and 400 medley relay teams, squads the set the school record in the 200 MR and the second best 400 MR time.

2011-12 (Sophomore):  Cooke earned CSCAA Scholar All-America and Honorable Mention RMAC All-Academic Team honors.  She swam a number of top three performances in the backstroke events throughout the season.  She swam the second fastest time in school history in the 100-yard backstroke at the UIW Christmas Invitational hitting the wall in 57.80 and set the school record in the 200-yard backstroke at the same meet in 2:03.79.  She qualified for the NCAA Championships in both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke events.  She earned All-America honors in the 200-yard medley relay and Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 400-yard medley relay.  She earned RMAC Second Team honors in the 400 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay. 

2010-11 (Freshman):  Cooke was an Honorable Mention All-American in both the 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard medley relay.  That same relay team won the RMAC title.  She earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke events after taking second place.  She won the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes and 200 and 400-yard medley relays at the Trinity Invitational.

High School:  Cooke was a member of the swim team at Thunderbird High School.  She was a four-time All-American and team captain.  She was the State champion in the 200-yard freestyle.  She led the team to four straight State championship appearances.  She was named the Homecoming Queen.

Personal:  Cooke is the daughter of John and Beth Cooke and is studying kinesiology.  She has two brothers, Austin and Nathan.  Her father played basketball in college.  She was born on July 1, 1992.
