SAN ANTONIO, TX. – The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team tallied a 7-0 victory over Collin College on Tuesday afternoon for the Cardinals' first win of the 2026 season at the Mabry Tennis Center. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Incarnate Word took the win in all three doubles contests for an early 1-0 lead in the match.
• The tandems of Marcel Miralles and Santiago Flyckt (No. 2) and Emilio Vila and Samuel Candelas (No. 3) won by identical 6-1 scores.
• The Cardinals also swept singles play to secure the shutout as each matchup was won in straight sets.
• Graduate student Emilia Vila was dominant at No. 2, posting a 6-0, 6-0 blank sheet.
• Flyckt was also dominant in his contest at No. 5, winning by a 6-2, 6-1 score.
