Starting XI:
Constant, Vargas, Lopez, Aguilar, Velasco, Navarijo, Ospina, Emena, Ashby, Carlson, Diphoko
SAN ANTONIO- The Huskies started the stronger of the two teams, with some electric counter attacks causing problems for the Cardinals. Constant was on hand to save some early shots from the HCU attack.
Starting from the 15th minute, the Cardinals grew into the game and began to put pressure on HCU from several crosses and corners.
It was a quick free kick that would break the deadlock in the game. As Sello Diphoko played a quick pass over to Victor Velasco, who shimmied and turned onto his right foot, drove the ball into the bottom corner to make the score 1-0.
The Huskies momentum kept on, with three minutes left to go in the first half, a long throw from the right side was met with a far post header to give the equalizer to HCU going into halftime, 1-1.
The second half would turn into a physical constant as both teams tried to gain the lead.
It was HCU who would take the lead in the 75th minute when a breakaway down the right side would lead to a deep cross to find Husky, Bryant Farkalun, at the back post who finished calmly to make the game 2-1.
Velasco would come to the Cardinals rescue in the 90th minute. After Diphoko was fouled on the edge of the box, Velasco would step up and score, hitting his freekick into the bottom corner away from the goalkeeper's outstretched arms to equalize the game, 2-2.
The Cardinals will be playing their final game of the season away at Bradley University, November 2.
