HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1

The Islanders got out to an early 4-0 lead through four innings against starting pitcher Ashley Trapp.

UIW started to rally in the bottom of the fifth when Abby Frank singled through the left side to score Hailey Jackson from third.

From there it was all Cardinals' offense. Adding another run in the bottom of the sixth, UIW looked to rally again heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. A Maddie Boldt single scored Abby Frank and the Islander lead was cut to one run. Sophomore Jazmine Torres delivered the walk-off single to right field that scored Boldt and pinch-runner Maddison Guillen to complete the comeback win.

Game 2
UIW came out with an early lead in game two. A bases-loaded walk scored Torres from third and a sacrifice bunt from Hailey Goins scored Savannah Behabetz to give the Cardinals the 2-0 lead.

The Islanders put up three runs in the top of the fifth to take a 3-2 lead.

Bottom of the sixth inning and Torres came through again, a single to center field scored Frank and Kendall McGary to take the 4-2 lead. Tori Alvarez-Lopez doubled to left field to score Torres and Jackson singled to center to score Alvarez-Lopez.

UIW won game two 6-3.

Game 3

A slow start for both teams in the Friday series finale, but the Islanders broke it open in the top of the fifth inning with the lone run on the day. The Cardinals had solid hits, but couldn't complete the rally.

UIW lost game three 1-0.
