EDINBURG, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team returns to the court after more than a week off, traveling to UTRGV on Friday for an 11 a.m. (CT) contest against the Vaqueros at the Orville I. Cox Tennis Center.
 
THE CARDINALS
UIW is 3-4 overall this season following a 6-1 victory over Southwestern on Feb. 27. Friday's contest is the final matchup of a six-game road stretch for the Cardinals, who return to Mabry Tennis Center on March 12.
 
SCOUTING UTRGV
The Vaqueros are 5-8 overall this season following a doubleheader victory over Alcorn State (5-2 in match one, 5-0 in match two). UTRGV is 2-1 at home. It has wins over Lamar (5-2) and Laredo CC (4-3), but suffered a 6-1 loss against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
 
UP NEXT
UIW returns to the Mabry Tennis Center on Thursday (March 12) to host Butler in an 11 a.m. contest. Admission to all home matches at the Mabry Tennis Center is free.
