GEORGETOWN, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team bested Southwestern, 6-1, on Thursday in Georgetown, Texas.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UIW made quick work of the doubles point, with
Luke Godwin/
Omar El Kadi securing an 8-6 win on court one and
Marko Galic/
Luka Stojanovic capturing an 8-7 victory on court one.
In singles, five Cardinals won to clinch the match for UIW. Three of those student-athletes won in two sets: El Kadi bested Alexis Dimanche, 6-3, 6-2 on court one;
Oliver Valentinsson defeated Hunter Bajoit, 6-1, 6-2, on court two;
Marwin Kralemann topped Steven Tibbetts, 6-1, 7-5, on court five.

UIW travels to UTRGV on Friday to face the Vaqueros in an 11 a.m. (CT) contest.
