Lynchburg, Va. – The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team defeated Liberty University, 1-0, on Sunday evening at Osborne Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF:
The Flames blocked three shots, while the Cardinals blocked two shots, to leave the first half with a clean slate.
SECOND HALF:
In the 74th minute,
Victor Velasco scored a goal, with an assist to
Miguel Velasquez to make the score 1-0, in favor of UIW. The Cardinals' defense halted the Flames' eight shots and four corner kicks in the second half to secure the 1-0 victory.
