CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The third-seeded University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team is slated to face No. 2 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the first round of the Southland Conference Tennis Tournament on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. (CT) at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center in.
 
THE CARDINALS
UIW finished the regular season with an 11-8 overall record and a 3-2 mark in SLC action. The Cardinals concluded league play with a 7-0 victory at Lamar on April 15. UIW is 0-1 against the Islanders this season after a 4-3 loss on April 9.
 
SCOUTING THE ISLANDERS
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi had a 17-8 overall record with a 4-1 record in conference play during the regular season. The Islanders, who are hosting the tournament, hold a 7-2 overall mark at home.
