WACO, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team is set to face its third Power 5 opponent this season, taking on No. 35 Arizona State in Waco, Texas, on Friday at 10 a.m. (CT).
 
THE CARDINALS
UIW is 8-4 overall this season after a 4-1 victory over Laredo Community College on Wednesday. The Cardinals were slated to face Laredo CC in a doubleheader, but the second dual was cancelled due to inclement weather.
 
SCOUTING ARIZONA STATE
Arizona State is 6-8 overall and No. 35 in the nation after besting No. 31 California (4-3) on March 17. ASU also has wins over No. 13 Michigan (4-2) and No. 41 San Diego (4-3) this season.
 
UP NEXT
UIW begins conference action on March 31, hosting Nicholls in a Senior Day contest at the Mabry Tennis Center. The dual is slated for 11 a.m.
