BEAUMONT, Texas –The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team was shutout by Lamar 7-0, in a Southland Conference match Friday afternoon at the Thompson Family Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The UIW Cardinals (5-13, 0-2 SLC) lost all three matches in doubles to lose the first point and would then drop all six singles' matches to Lamar (10-6, 1-0 SLC), who earned their first conference win of the season.

UP NEXT

The Cardinals are back home for another conference match on Sunday. They'll host Nicholls on Sunday at 2 p.m. Sunday will be fan appreciation day, and there will be free food, drinks and giveaways.
