WACO, TEXAS – The University of Incarnate Word men's tennis team traveled to #5 Baylor on Saturday where they were defeated 7-0 by the undefeated Bears at the Hurd Tennis Center. (Results)

It was the first match of 2016 for the Cardinals and they were not able to take one set from the Bears during the match. The doubles team of Josip Smoljan (Citluk, Bosnia and Herzegovina/ Srendnja Skola HS) and Paco Bendana (College Station/New Braunfels HS) had the best results against the Bears although the duo eventually fell 6-3 in their doubles match.

In singles, Baylor swept all six matches against the Cardinals. The UIW men's tennis team will return to action tomorrow as they take on Louisiana-Lafayette at the Clarence Mabry Tennis Center on the campus of UIW.
