WACO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team will travel to Baylor University for a 2:30 p.m. match on Thursday.
The seventh-ranked Baylor Bears are coming off two consecutive victories against 47
th ranked Boise State (4-0) and 28
th ranked Auburn (4-1). With their latest victory, the Bears grabbed an ITA National Team Indoor Championship spot.
So far this school year, UIW has participated in the Trinity Quad, the Islander Open Invitational and the Lamar Invitational. Men's tennis suffered their first team loss of the season to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette at home 6-1 on January 17. The Cardinals single point came by victory of
Jair Assuncao (Londrina, Brazil/Carmina Grabner) at #1 singles in straight sets.
All of the matches are free to the general public and students at the Hurd Tennis Center.
