Dr. Donald Walker

Dr. Donald Walker joined the Cardinal swim team as an assistant coach in the fall of 2023. Along with being the assistant swim coach for the Cardinals Walker is a faculty member of the Psychology department here at the University of the Incarnate Word, where he earned his masters degree. 

He received his bachelor's degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of the swim team. While on the team he won four Pennsylvania Athletic State Conference (PSAC) championships, was a five time NCAA Division II All-American, and was captain of the Clarion team that finished in fifth place at NCAA Division II championships.

Walker went on to coach at Alamo Heights High School. In 2014 his team won the Texas UIL Girls State Championship meet and he was named Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) State Girls Coach of the Year. The following season he was named the National Federation High School Girls Coach of the year.
