2013-14 (Junior):  Jonsson remained a sprint specialist for the team, but also contributed in the 100-yard breaststroke.  He swam the fastest time of his career in the 50 freestyle at the CCSA championships and finished fifth.  He added a ninth place finish in the 100 breast after winning the consolation final.  He swam on the conference champion and school record-setting 200 freestyle relay team.  He was third in the 100 breast against Southwestern and he took a fourth place slot in the 100 free against Texas A&M.

2012-13 (Sophomore): Jonsson earned CSCAA Honorable Mention All-America status in the 200 freestyle relay. He won the 50 freestyle at the UIW Christmas Invitational in a school-record time of 20.56 only to see teammate Evandro Silva break the record in a relay on the same day. He took the top prize in the 50 and 100 freestyle at the Drury Invitational. He won the UIW January Meet 100 freestyle in a time of 46.79. He swam the third leg of the school record-setting 200 freestyle relay team at the UIW Christmas Invitational.

2011-12 (Freshman): Jonsson was recruited as a freestyler and breaststroker, but focused almost extensively on the freestyle. He swam in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle events and on the 200-yard freestyle relay team at the national meet. He anchored the silver medal winning RMAC 200-yard medley relay team that posted a time of 1:29.01. He swam season best times in the 50, 100 and 200-yard freestyle at the UIW Christmas Invitational. He earned CSCAA Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 200 freestyle relay.

High School: Jonsson swam at Canyon High School. He was a three-time All-State performer. He also played baseball.

Personal: Jonsson is the son of Gunnar and Sheryl Jonsson and is studying rehabilitation sciences. He has a brother, Kris. He was born on October 7, 1992.
