2011-12 (Junior):  McLaughlin switched his focus from the distance events to the butterfly.  He swam on the 400-yard medley relay team at the RMAC Championships.

2010-11 (Sophomore):  McLaughlin was a solid distance swimmer for the Cardinals.  He took second place in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the Mansfield Invitational.  He put his name on the school's top-10 lists in both the 1,000 and 1,650-yard freestyle.

2009-10 (Freshman):  McLaughlin was a busy man for the Cardinals swimming at six different meets.  At the RMAC Championships he finished sixth in the 1,000-yard freestyle, fifth in the 1,650-yard freestyle and seventh on both the 400 and 800-yard freestyle relay teams.

High School:  McLaughlin was on the swim team at Central High School in San Angelo.  He earned All-State honors in three events.

Personal:  McLaughlin is the son of Sean and Jill McLaughlin and is studying kinesiology with a minor in math.  He has a sister, Megan.  He was born on May 25, 1991.
