2013-14 (Junior):  Brouwer swam the distance freestyle and 200-yard backstroke events for the Cardinals.  He finished second in the 1000 free against Southwestern with a time of 10:41.96.  At the CCSA meet he swam the 200, 500 and 1650 free and 200 back, but he did not make the finals.  He was named to the CCSA All-Academic Team.

2012-13 (Sophomore): Brouwer earned RMAC Second Team honors in the 1650 freestyle. He was a multi-purpose swimmer throughout the year entering the backstroke and distance freestyle events. He was fourth in the 1000 freestyle the RMAC Championships with a time of 9:51.34.

2011-12 (Freshman): Brouwer swam all the freestyle events from 200 yards and up. He earned RMAC Third Team honors in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:39.91. He posted season best times at the RMAC championships in all three distance freestyle events. He was a member of the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School: Brouwer swam at Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, AZ for four years. He was the team MVP for three seasons and holds the school records in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle. He helped lead the team to four State titles.

Personal: Brouwer is the son of Frank and Judy Brouwer and is studying biology. He has a twin brother, Alex, who also swims for UIW and they were born on November 8, 1992.
