2012-13 (Junior): Gutierrez played in six rounds in the 2012-13 season, where he posted an average of 81.0. He finished in 31st place at the UIW tournament with a 78 as his best score.

2011-12 (Sophomore):  Gutierrez played nine rounds and posted an 82.11 scoring average for the Cardinals.  He posted a pair of rounds in the 70s at the St. Mary's Bruce Williams Invitational, including a 75 and finished in 38th place.

2010-11 (Freshman):  Gutierrez played in four tournaments and finished in 53rd place at the Lone Star Conference Championships.  He had a scoring average of 81.82 in 11 rounds of action.  He had four rounds in the 70s with a season best of 76 in his opening round at the Northeastern State Tournament.

High School:  Gutierrez graduated from Bachillerato Anahuac in 2009.

Personal:  Gutierrez is the son of Gustavo and Joanna Gutierrez and was born on November 15, 1990.  He has a brother, Daniel and a sister, Jessica.  His official name is David Gustavo Gutierrez and he is studying business administration.
