2017 (Senior): He made 10 appearances on the year and had three starts. He had an 0-1 record. He had five strikeouts on the season.
2016 (Junior): Richey made one start at the beginning of the season before heading to the bullpen for the first half of the season. He returned to the Cardinals' rotation in Conference play and in his first start, he pitched 7.0 innings while only allowing an unearned run, and three hits against Houston Baptist. He won back-to-back starts against Stephen F. Austin and Lamar. He finished the year 2-5 after starting seven games and appearing in 14.
2015 (Sophomore): Richey started the season opener for the Cardinals going 7.0 innings allowing six hits and two runs while striking out six in a hard-luck loss to Northeastern. He was moved into the bullpen after Geno Encina returned to the starting rotation at the end of February. He had six shutout relief appearances on the season. He made three appearances over the final six games of the year allowing two hits and no runs in 4.2 innings while earning a win at Abilene Christian and a save at Omaha. He picked up his first save of the year with 2.0 scoreless inning at New Mexico State in a 15-13 win.
2014 (Freshman): Richey made 16 appearances on the mound and was a spot starter for the team. He pitched 5.0 strong innings at UT-Pan American to earn his first career victory while striking out seven. Three weeks later, he pitched 3.0 shutout innings of relief against UT-Pan American to earn a victory. He pitched a season high 6.0 innings at Baylor allowing six hits and four runs in a loss.
High School: Richey played baseball, football and basketball at Comfort High School where he earned First Team All-District honors in baseball in his sophomore year. He was the District MVP as a junior and senior. He earned all-district honors in football as a junior.
Personal: Richey is the son of Troy and Tina Richey and is studying business administration. He has a brother, Cole. He was born on March 21, 1995.
