2014 (Red-Shirt): Diaz was on the team, but did not compete in any meets.

2013 (Freshman): Diaz ran in five meets for the Cardinals in her freshman year and posted a season best time of 24:25.9 over 6K at the Southland Conference Championship. She crossed the finish line in 24:33.11 at the UIW Cardinal Invitational 6K and took 25th place.  She was named to the SLC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School: Diaz was on the cross country and track teams at Chapin High School. She was a first team all-district and all-region runner. She set the school record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14. She was a two-time State qualifier. She earned Academic All-District honors.

Personal: Diaz is the daughter of Eduardo and Amira Diaz and is studying biology with a minor in engineering physics. She has two siblings, Stephanie and Amari.  Stephanie is also on the UIW track and cross country teams.  She was born on February 24, 1995.
