SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of the Incarnate Word Women's Tennis won the doubles point, then won five of six singles to defeat Lamar, 6-1, Sunday for the Cardinals' first Southland Conference victory this season.
The win is extra for UIW, who was swept, 7-0, in Beaumont last season.
Jelena Dordan in number two singles sealed the win for UIW with a 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-2 victory.
