SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Inclement weather has forced the University of the Incarnate Word baseball team to alter its season-opening series against North Dakota State, Head Coach
Patrick Hallmark announced Wednesday.
The Cardinals were originally set to host the Bison for a 6:30 p.m. matchup on Friday, a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday and a 1 p.m. series finale on Sunday.
UIW and NDSU will instead meet for a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Friday, with the remainder of the series to be decided after evaluation of the weather forecast.
For the first time in program history, UIW is eligible for NCAA Division I postseason play after completing a four-year transition to full NCAA Division I status.
This year's Southland Conference Tournament for baseball will run May 23-26 at Constellation Field in Sugar Land.
