SAN ANTONIO, Texas- The Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association announced Tuesday that the University of the Incarnate Word's
Mariana Ruvalcaba Cruz and
Savanna Meadows were named CCSA Women's Swimmer and Diver of the week.

The announcement comes after the Cardinals competed at Canyonview Aquatic Center this past Tuesday versus UC San Diego and San Jose University.

Tijuana, Mexico, native and freshman,
Mariana Ruvalcaba Cruz, took a pair of second-place finishes home in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke. In the 100-yard breaststroke she touched the wall in 1:04.86 and in the 200-yard breaststroke she finished with a time of 2:20.62.

Austin, Texas, native and graduate student,
Savanna Meadows, earned a 1
st place finish in the 1-meter diving with a final score of 283.90 and she completed the 3-meter competition in 8
th place.

The Cardinals are currently on the road to Colorado to compete in the Air Force Invitational, running Jan. 12-13.
