Big Easy Tennis Classic Results

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana- The University of the Incarnate Word's women's tennis team advanced two players to the Semi-Finals.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
The Big Easy Tennis Classic only advanced to the Semi-Finals round, as Saturday's events were cancelled due to Hurricane Nate.
 
In Single Flight 7, Rachel Sadiq went 1-1 and Jayci Stewart advanced to the Semi Finals.
 
Jelena Dordan went 2-0 in Single Flight 2, advancing herself to the Semi-Finals. 
 
Victoria Kareh won the first round in Single Flight 3, defeating Chunan Xiang (UCA), but lost to Brittany Johnson (UNO).  
Matea Zemunik went 1-0 in Single Flight 1, defeating Louisa Trigona (AM-CC).
 
Alejandra Tamayo was set up to compete in the Consolation Semi-Final after going 1-1.
 
In the women's Doubles Flight 3, Alejandra Tamayo and Alejandra Landaluce went 1-1, advancing to the Consolation Semi-Final.
 
UP NEXT
 
The Cardinals will end the fall season in Fort Worth, Texas, October 13-17 as they compete in the ITA Texas Regional Championships.
