SAN ANTONIO, Tx — The University of the Incarnate Word Men's soccer team won an exciting match in the late seconds of the game Friday night at Benson Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first goal from Utah Valley's (3-7-1) Gui Leme, the assist would come from Austin Buxton who showed tremendous ball control before setting up his teammate. UVU would go into halftime up 1-0.
Johnathon Diaz would put UIW(3-6-1) on the board with his amazing footwork, shooting a left-footed from around 30 yards out tying the game at one apiece.
With a little over ten seconds left in the match,
Kas Van Eekelen put a corner kick in the air, it was headed but the UVU goalkeeper mad a nice block, with the ball still in play
Darius Feldman tracked the rebound and would kick the game winning goal in with only seven seconds left remaining, this was his first goal of the match which couldn't have come at better time. This would be the Cardinals first lead of the game.

Johnathon Diaz and
Darius Feldman led the Cardinals, with each scoring one goal apiece in today's match.
Gui Leme would be the loan scorer for the wolverines with the assist going to Austin Buxton.

Darius Feldman on his game-winning goal:
"It was a corner from Kas [Van Eekelen], a mad scramble, Miguel [Ojeda] headed it to the keeper and the ball came to me and I finished it."
Feldman on the match tonight:
"It was a hard fight. We knew we had to get the pressure on them. [Johnathon] Diaz got the goal and I got the goal, so it was a good win."
Feldman on Sunday's game against No. 23 Seattle:
"Tomorrow morning, we'll be out here again to put in some more work, more fitness, more ball work and hopefully we do the same thing on Sunday and get those three points."
Johnathon Diaz on his game-tying goal in the 68th minute:
"It felt really good. At first I couldn't believe it because I've never scored a goal in college before. It was an amazing, overwhelming feeling."
Diaz on the game:
"Utah Valley did well on the first half, but we came out in the second half with a different mentality and we showed them who we really were and the results did that."
