SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Enjoy the annual The University of the Incarnate Word Men's Basketball Wild Game Dinner in style at the new Student Engagement Center Ballroom. The annual soiree is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. with two-time NBA champion, Matt Bonner, as the special guest.

Bonner played 10 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs from 2006-16, winning championships in 2007 and 2014. The "Red Rocket" recorded career-highs of 25 points and 17 rebounds against the Golden State Warriors on Dec. 11, 2007. At the conclusion of the 2010-11 campaign, Bonner led the NBA with a 45.7 percentage from beyond the arc. Following his retirement, Bonner joined Spurs TV as a studio analyst.
 
"The Wild Game Dinner event provides an opportunity for our student-athletes and the entire men's basketball program to interact with the top businesses and CEO's of San Antonio for potential opportunities post their collegiate career," said Assistant Coach, Brian Curtis. "It also provides a means to fundraise for the basketball program so that we are able to continue to grow our program year after year."
 
Along with dinner, the evening's special guest will be former San Antonio Spur and NBA champion, Matt Bonner. Guest speakers will be University President, Dr. Thomas Evans, and Director of Athletics, Dr. Brian Wickstrom.
 
As with past years, there will be an auction. Items ready to be sold so far include: Spurs box suites and tickets, Schlitterbahn weekend stay, Spurs autographed basketballs, Argentina Dove Hunt, African Safari hunt trip, foursome golf prizes, Dallas Cowboys tickets, and a George Strait guitar. More will be at the event.
 
Doors open at 6 p.m. Valet parking will be available and food and liquor will be served. Patrons must be 21 or older to attend.
