COLLEGE STATION, Texas- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team ended the fall season competing against the best Texas has to offer at the ITA Regional Championship in College Station, Texas.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Singles Results
 
Gabriel Evans was seeded 17^th going into the competition and got a bye in the round of 128. He defeated Sansidh Kommajaru (UTA) 6-4, 6-2 in the round of 64. He fell short to Colin Markes (Texas) 7-5, 7-5 in the round of 32.
 
Joey Vatanadilok had a bye in the round of 128 but lost to the number 2 seed, AJ Catancariti (A&M) 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the round of 64.
 
Sebastian Mortier got a bye in the round of 128, but lost to William Little (Baylor) 7-5, 6-4, in the round of 64.
 
Paco Bendana lost to Coby Jansen (UTRGV) 7-5, 6-3 in the round of 128.
 
Doubles Results
 
The team of Gabriel Evans and Sebastian Mortier defeated Arthur Serafim and Roy Stepanov (Lamar) 8-1 in the round of 32, but lost to Constantin Frantzen and Bjoern Peterson  (Baylor) 8-5 in the round of 16.
 
The team of Paco Bendana and Joey Vatanadilok fell short against Jimmy Bendeck and William Little (Baylor) 8-6 in the round of 32.
 
UP NEXT
 
The Cardinals will begin the spring season on January 20 in Waco, TX, to compete against Baylor University.

The men's team will travel to Colorado to compete against the United States Air Force Academy on January 26.
