SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Trailing by scores of 1-0 and 2-1, The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team never quit, and the determination paid off when

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 15
th minute, UIW's (2-12-1 overall, 1-8-1 SLC) starting goalkeeper,
Sydney Huntsinger, made a leaping save on SHSU's (7-7-1, 4-4-1) leading scorer, Carlota Suarez Crespo, keeping the match scoreless.
Taylor Pritchfield gave the Bearkats a 1-0 lead in the 23

rd minute, on a great shot from Beryl Smith, assisted by Hannah Dupin. The Bearkats took the 2-1 lead at the break.
Midway through the second half, Hanson struck, as she hit the ball just below the crossbar. The ball bounced down and eventually rolled over the line to tie the game at two.
UIW nearly took the lead in the 72

In the second overtime, Cardinal goalkeeper,
Katrina Buck, who took the place of an injured Huntsinger, made a great save to intercept a Sam Houston cross attempt.
