FORT WORTH, Texas- Senior, Matea Zemunik was the highest finisher for the Cardinals.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Zemunik reached the semifinals in the singles consolation bracket on day 4 of the competition. She surpassed UT's Tyler Duncum 6-2, 6-1 in the third round and beat Southland Conference rival, Mila Milanovic (SHSU) 6-3, 6-2 in the fourth round. In the quarterfinals, she won against SMU's Sarai Monarrez due to an injury, but fell short to BU's Livia Kraus in an intense 4-6, 6-4, 11-9 battle in the semi finals.
