FRISCO, TEXAS – University of the Incarnate Word sophomore Joey Vatanadilok has been selected as Southland Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Vatanadilok led the Cardinals through a winning weekend as UIW remains undefeated at home in 2016.  The San Antonio, Texas (Bridgeway Academy), native had an undefeated weekend, winning the No. 1 doubles against Trinity, 6-2, and St. Mary's, 6-3.  He also won both of his No. 1 singles matches against Trinity and St. Mary's.  He defeated Trinity's Paxton Dueul in three sets 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 and Adam Dockery of St. Mary's 6-2, 6-4.

The Cardinals are back in action on Friday at 1 p.m. at Laredo Community College.  They will then travel to Rice for a 4 p.m. match on Sunday.
