DENVER, COLORADO – For the second consecutive week, University of the Incarnate Word senior midfielder
Noah Keats (Exeter, Eng./The King's School) was named the Western Athletic Conference offensive player of the week on Monday.
Keats scored a first half hat trick in an 8-1 rout of Central Arkansas on Friday. It was the second fastest hat-trick in school history (42:42) and it was the second shortest time to collect three goals in UIW's history (13:34).
The three goals give him a total of seven goals in only six games in 2015 and he now leads the conference in points (16), goals (7) and game-winning goals (4). He ranks fifth in NCAA Division I in goals per game and fourth in points per game. This is the fourth time in his two seasons with the Cardinals that Keats has won the WAC offensive player of the week award despite only playing a total of 15 games.
Keats has scored in every UIW game except for one this season and has led the Cardinals to a 4-2 start after going 1-8 in non-conference games a year ago.
