FRISCO, TEXAS – University of the Incarnate Word senior centerfielder Aaron Warren (Schertz/Wagner HS) parlayed a huge week at the plate into Southland Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week honors on Monday.

Warren entered the weekend with only 25 at bats and five starting lineup appearances for the season, but he was the best player on the field against Central Arkansas.  He led the Cardinals (18-27, 9-15) to a sweep over the visiting Bears.  Batting in the leadoff spot, he went 9-for-12 at the plate and drew four walks.  He recorded a pair of 4-hit performances in each of the first two games of the series.

Warren has started the last four games for the Cardinals, all wins, and he is 12-of-17 at the plate during that stretch.  He has scored five runs and stroked a pair of doubles.
The Cardinals are back in action on Wednesday at home against Prairie View A&M with the first pitch slated for 6:30 p.m.
