WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA – The University of the Incarnate Word synchronized swimming team won the South Collegiate Regional Championships over the weekend at William & Mary. (

The Cardinals won the title with 100 points. The University of Florida was runner-ups with 81 points while University of Richmond was third with 41.5 points and William & Mary was fourth with 35 points. UIW dominated the event by winning the 'A' figures, solo, duet, trio and team events.
UIW swept the top four spots in 'A' figures.
Sydney Sprinkle won with 77.6354 points and she was followed by teammates
Emilee Wills (75.9479),
Katy Wiita (75.6875) and
Beatriz Regly (75.5485).
Madison Delgado won the 'B' figures with 69.4114 points.
The Cardinals were first and third in the solo results. Sprinkle easily won with 85.7667 points while Wills was third with 82.8 points.
In the duet free routine final, Wiita and Sprinkle won with 81.4333 points.
Sarah Cooke and Regly were runner-ups with 80.5667 points and Delgado and
Brooke Taylor were third with 80.3667 points. Delgado, Taylor and Wills followed up by winning the trio routine with 80.3667 points.
UIW closed out the event by winning the team free routine. Cooke, Regly,
Madison Craney, Delgado, Taylor, Wills, Wiita and Sprinkle combined to earn 88.7667 points and won by 2.8333 points over Florida.
The Cardinals will be back in the pool March 25-28 in Columbus, Ohio at the U.S. Collegiate Nationals.
