SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – University of the Incarnate Word cross country and track student-athlete
Clementine Kauffmann (Hyeres, France) has received the UIW HEB School of Business, business plan award for creating her own outstanding business proposal.
Posting excellent results in both athletics and academics, Kauffmann has led by example in her senior year and posts a 3.45 grade point average in international business. To earn the business plan award, she proposed starting a business called Rolleo, which focuses on bringing foam rollers and trigger point massage sticks to her home country of France. She was awarded $2,000 to help her start her business.
Kauffmann said, "I've enjoyed every minute of work spent on this business plan. As I go back to France, I will be opening this business and following the guidelines of my written plan. UIW gives great opportunities to its students and I hope that this will motivate other student-athletes to take part in the competition next year."
After graduation, Kauffmann is hoping to attend graduate school this fall in France while launching her company.
