FRISCO, TEXAS – University of the Incarnate Word freshman Joey Vatanadilok (San Antonio/Bridgeway Academy) has been chosen Southland Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

He was the only player for the Cardinals to record both a singles and doubles victory in the team's 5-2 win over South Dakota State last Friday.  He teamed up with Tucker Brown at the No. 2 doubles spot for a 6-3 win over the Jackrabbit's Gary Notkin and Mateus Moreira.  Vatanadilok then cruised to a win at the No. 4 singles spot, defeating South Dakota State's Lovro Curcija, 6-0, 6-3.

Vatanadilok and the Cardinals are in action this weekend in Edinburg, Texas where they will play Monterrey Tech on Saturday and UT-Pan American on Sunday.
