ATHENS, GEORGIA – The 2015 CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships concluded on Saturday at Georgia's Gabrielson Natatorium with the University of the Incarnate Word men finishing second the women finished fifth. (

The UIW women notched a number of individual awards for the meet.
Alona Kyselova (Kiev, Ukraine/Tarasa Shevchenko) took home Women's Most Outstanding Freshman of the Meet after winning both the 200-IM and 400-IM. Both wins were done in CCSA record times and NCAA "B" cut times. On Saturday, she added a runner-up finish in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:43.22.
Senior
Kali Lents (San Antonio/Reagan HS) was named the Diver of the Year for the second straight year after sweeping the diving competition. After winning the 1 and 3-meter events on the first two days of competition, she took home her third gold medal on Saturday in the platform dive with 235.45 points. Teammates
Kimberly Foster (Spring/Oak Ridge HS) and
Mallory Draper (Victoria/Victoria West HS) took second and fourth, respectively in the platform.
UIW diving coach
Tommy Law was named the Women's Diving Coach of the Year for a second time and the Men's Diving Coach of the Year for the first time.
The Incarnate Word men were unable to defend their conference title, but still earned a strong second place team finish. The Cardinals finished behind the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
The Cardinals swam well on the final day of the meet. Freshman
Nathan Coppock (San Antonio/Johnson HS) opened the day by winning the 1650 freestyle in a CCSA Meet and All-Time record time of 15:31.60.
Connor Hennessy (San Antonio/Business Careers HS) took fourth in the event in a time of 15:37.27.
In the 200 backstroke, freshman
Aaron Moran (Helotes/Brandeis HS) won the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:46.96. The Cardinals also swept the top two spots in the 200-yard butterfly with
David Moore (San Antonio/Marshall HS) winning in a time of 1:48.02 and
Kaulen Applin (Houston/MacArthur HS) taking second in 1:49.61.
Brendan Schaffer (Charlotte, NC/S. Mecklenburg HS) added a third place finish in platform diving with 206.85 points.
Florida Gulf Coast won the women's team title with 1575 points and Liberty was second with 1239 points. Georgia Southern was in third with 1110.5 points and they were followed by Gardner-Webb (1026.5), UIW (851), Campbell (598), UNC-Asheville (422), North Florida (324), North Carolina A&T (196), VMI (183) and Howard (143).
UMBC finished with 996 points to win the men's title and the Cardinals were second with 778 points. Gardner-Webb came in third with 690 points and they were followed by NJIT (292), VMI (224) and Howard (160).
