SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word men's swimming and diving team made a big move in this week's CollegeSwimming rankings after a strong performance at the Hawkeye Invitational last weekend.
The Cardinals are in the national top 50 for the first time this year. They are settled in at #41 with 768.17 points. They are less than one point behind Arizona State and Notre Dame and they are the only CCSA school in the top 50 among Division I men's programs.
The Cardinals also moved up to ninth in the Division I Mid Major rankings. The full mid major top 10 includes Penn, Denver, Princeton, Brigham Young, Harvard, Air Force, Grand Canyon, Navy, UIW and UC-Santa Barbara.
The UIW men's and women's teams get back in the pool December 18-20 at the UIW Christmas Invitational that will be held at the Palo Alto College Natatorium.
