CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Incarnate Word freshman Aaron Moran (Helotes, TX/Brandeis HS) has been named the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week, while teammate Brendan Schaffer (Charlotte, NC/South Mecklenburg HS) has been named the league's diver of the week for meets contested Dec. 22, 2014-Jan. 4, 2015, the Conference office announced Wednesday.

Moran led the Cardinals in their two meets against San Diego State and the University of California at San Diego. He finished second in the 200 IM (1:58.13) and 200 backstroke (1:53.19), third in the 200 freestyle (1:43.70) and 200 fly (1:53.75) and fourth in the 200 medley relay (1:34.99) at SDSU's meet. On Saturday, he finished second in the 200 fly (1:54.02) and fourth in the 400 IM (4:16.00) and 200 backstroke (1:55.23).

Schaffer had two strong meets in California, as he finished first in the 3-meter dive with a score of 277.25 and second in the one-meter (245.70). Against UC San Diego, he finished second in the 3-meter (239.40) and fourth in the one meter (246.30).

The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host Southwestern University at the Barshop Natatorium.
