GLEN ROSE, TEXAS – This past weekend student-athletes from the University of the Incarnate Word headed to Glen Rose, Texas to take part in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Camp.  Collegiate athletes from across Texas came together to worship and to compete in friendly games and activities at the FCA Camp January 23-25.

Since 1954, the FCA has provided student-athletes with the opportunity to share their passion for athletics and faith through camps that provide athletic, spiritual and leadership training. Reaching over two million people annually, the camps have hoped to cultivate Christian principles, while also providing each participant with a fun and life changing experience.    

UIW had student-athletes from the volleyball, football, synchronized swimming, swimming and diving, softball and track and field teams attend the event.  They joined student-athletes from other institutions around Texas such as SMU, UTSA, Trinity and Abilene Christian University for a weekend of building new friendships through faith and athletics.
