CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of the Incarnate Word had a pair of athletes earn weekly awards from the CCSA on Tuesday.
Kali Lents (San Antonio/Reagan HS) was the women's diver of the week while
Brendan Schaffer (Charlotte, NC/South Mecklenburg HS) was the co-men's diver of the week.
Lents earned her third diver of the week award this season after winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter events over the weekend against Southwestern and George Mason. She scored 277.86 points at 1-meter and 286.65 points at 3-meter.
Schaffer won the diver of the week award for the second time this season and second straight week. He also swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events against Southwestern and George Mason. He scored 287.03 points at 1-meter and 284.00 points at 3-meter, two of his top scores of the season.
Both swimmers will be off this week as the UIW men's and women's swim teams compete at the Austin Grand Prix where no diving events are contested.
